Funeral Services Held For Mrs C.Henricksen
Funeral services for Mrs Maria henricksen,who died at her home in 
Portland,Thursday,February 1,were held from the home last Saturday at 10 
o'clock a.m. The body was taken to the Sellwood Crematorium for cremation.
Mrs Maria henricksen was born in Denmark in the year 1850(and at the time of 
her death was 72 years,and four months of age.She came to this country when a 
girl,first settling inChicago,where she was married to Mr C Henricksen.They 
later moved to Nebraska where they resided for some time.About 18 years ago 
they came to Portland,where they have been making their home most of the time 
with the exception of a few years as residents of Canby.Mrs henricksen was 
well known in this city and her loss is deeply felt by her many friends here.
" Oh,Mother thou hast gone
To a far distant land
We all in time will meet with thee
Upon that Golden strand"
Besides her husband Mrs henricksen is survived by the following 
children:Andrew henricksen,of heppner,Ore.,Peter Henricksen,of Walla 
Walla,Wash.,Harry Henricksen,of Portland,Ore.,George henricksen,of 
Willows,Ore.,Mrs mary Lofgren,of Canby and Fred Henricksen,of Molalla.She is 
also survived by nine grand children
