Husband Dying; Son Dead
Little Olan LeRoy Drinks carbolic Acid While Mother Is Away
His father injure din Pendletno to the point of his death, his mother rushing 
to the injured mas as fast as train can carry her, Olan LeRoy,less than three 
years old, happened upon a bottle of carbolic acid at 9:30 last night and 
drank enough to kill him.
The little chap had been left by his mother when she departed in frantic haste 
to reach her husband, and was under the care of the landlady where the family 
lived, at 668 Glisan street. The landlady had duties to attend to and left the 
boy by himself long enough for him to get into mischief. He found a small vial 
of carbolic acid and drank from it. Dr.J.J. Fisher was called and tried the 
usual remedies, but the case was hopeless.
The mother was telegraphed last night, but it is not known whether the news of 
her son's death will reach her before she is standing by the deathbed of her 
husband
