W.S. Gilbert, ex chaplain, conducted a touching service. Many of the comrades of the dead volunteer were present, including the ocmmander of the Second Oregon Regiment, Colonel Owen Summers. Floral tributes from friends were beautiful. The casket was draped with an American flag. The internment as in Riverview Cemetary, where military honors were given.
