Mamie Kelly's death
The death of little Mamie Kelly,that occurred at the home of her mother on 
North Nineteenth street Sunday,was attended by unusually sad circumstances.Her 
father deserted her mother some time ago and left the family almost 
destitute.Mamie realized her mother's condition and although only a child 
expresseda desire to help her mother support the family.When taken sick she 
became greatly discouraged,and when she learned that there was no hopes for 
her recovery,her pleadings to the docotrs to save her life for her mother's 
sake were pitiful.But medical skill was of no avail and the litte girl pased 
away.The family is a poor one,but in the hosehold on that day there was as 
pathetic a scene as many that occur in more pretentious families,and which are 
graphically described in newspapers throughout the country.
