He was stricken with paralysis two years ago,from which he never recovered.Mr.Keinath came to Portland from San Jose in 1885,being identified here in business circles in the grocery firm of Keinath & Clarke,and the Portland Coffee and Spice Mills. He lived a quiet and unpretentious life,but had gained the respect of all who knew him.Since his sickness his voice has been missed from among the Vetran Quartet,in which he has sung since its organization. He had been a member of Taylor street Methodist Church since 1885.Mr.Keinath leaves a widow,a son,A.C.Keinath,of Newton,Iowa, and tow daughters,Mrs.A.L.Clarke and Mrs.Mabel Conant.
