Dies Under Wagon Wheels
Woodhauler Thrown Out While Returning Home
Ashland,Or.,Nov.21-(Special)- News reched here today of the shocking death 
last night of Allen Hilt,a well known young rancher,who lives near the state 
line,south of Ashland. he was hauling wood to Hornbrook, and while returning 
home last evening, driving home last evening, driving a four horse team and 
empty wagon,was thrown out and fell under the wheels. They ran over his 
head,fearfully crushing it at the base of the skull and causing,it is 
supposed,instant death.When he was found a short time after the accident. he 
was the son of one of the pioneer families of Northern California, and was 
aged about 40 years.
