Grothjean Louise C. Grothjean, 82, retired music teacher and sister of the late Edward and Francesca Grothjean, died Saturday. She lived at 2321 SW Sheffield street and had only one survivor, a niece, Marie M. Rothfos. Miss Grothjean was born in Denmark on January 5, 1866. She came to this country 74 years ago and had lived in Oregon for 45 years. Her sister was a widely known artist who specialized in marine and religious paintings. Her brother became a miner in Alaska. He originated a motto expressing belief that the flag of America exists and is loved because every country has contributed to the growth of the nation it represents. Her funeral will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel of J. P. Finley & Son. Commitment will be private.
