Death of Miss Eccles
The remains of Miss Jessie L.Eccles arrived here on the steamer Oregon and were
interred in Lone Fir cemetary yesterday by the side of her father,Mr.Clement
Eccles,a pioneer of 1834,formerly a residet of Portlnd and then of
Lafayette.Miss Eccles,who had been living with her mother in Oakland,Cal.,died
April 18,after a lingering illness,at the age of 21.She was a niece of
Hon.A.P.Burbank,of Lafayette,who was in the city yesterday to meet the sorrowing
moth aid her in her last sad duty to her daughter.
