Mrs. Miranda A. Durham Dead
Pioneer and Mother Of Two Of Oregon's Famous Sons Passes Away
Mrs. Miranda A. Durham, mother of two prominent Oregon men and a pioneer of 
1847, died this morning at the home of her son, R.L.Durham, at Riverdale. Mrs. 
Durham was almost 90 years old and has lived  a long life in the Middle West 
and in Oregon. She was born in Canada in 1814, going when a child to 
Illinois,and remaining there until she crossed the plains with her husband, 
J.A.Durham, who died in Portland five years ago.
Mrs. Durham left two sons living, George H.Durham, of Grant's Pass, and R.L. 
Durhamm of the Merchants National Bank of Portland. The late S.A. Durham was 
also her son. She left ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren
