All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/or/orfiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Sheron Faynor nitwittwin@hotmail.com December 26, 2007, 6:44 am Morning Oregonian November 3,1904 Death Of Honored Mason Funeral of John Dukehart Will Be Held Today Under the directions of Oregon Commandery,No.1,Knights Templar,of which organization he was an esteemed member,the funeral services of john Dukehart,who died from hemorrhage of the brain last Tuesday,will be held this afternoon at 1:30 o'clock from his late home,554 Yamhill street.Mt.Dukehart,who wa sborn at Baltimore,Md.,was nearly 58 years old,and his family was one of considerable influence in Maryland years ago. In Sepember,1859,Mr.Dukehart arrived in this city,and had since resided here.He opened a crockery store t Third and Yamhill streets,and subsequently became salesman for Prael,Hegele,& Co.which position he retained unitl illness struck him down.Mr.Dukehart is survived by his widow and four children,who all live in this city,with the exception of one of his sons,who is absent in Germany,studying music.
