Messrs. J.N.Teal,S.B.Linthleum,George Stout,Sanderson Reed,Newton McCoy,Maurice McKim,Milton Smith,J.Couch,Flanders,A.F.Sears,jr. and Roswell B. Lameon acted as body bearers.The casket,strewn with palms,was placed in front of the chancel,and friends were given an opportunity to take a last view of the features of the departed.The front seats were occupied the members of the bar and faculty of the medical department of the UNiversity of Oregon,who attended in a body. At 2 o'clock the family and immediate friends arrived,preceded by the pall- bearers,Messrs.Asahel Bush,Judge W.P. Lord,Ahio S.Wass,C.C.Beekman,Judge W.B.Gilbert,C.A.Dolph,Jusge E.D.Shattuck,Hon.Geore H.Williams,Henry falling,C.H.Lewis,Hon.L.F.Grover and J.I.McArthur.An anthem was sung and the solemn and impressive burial service was read by Right Rev.B.Wistar Morris,and the rector,Rev.Mr.Cole,Rev.Mr.Stoy also being in the chancel.The church was crowded,the audience comprising people of all ranks and conditions who wished to show their love and respect for one whose just and upright life had been a pattern to all men. At the conclusion of the services,Rev.Mr.Cole announced that on some following Sunday,probably the second Sunday fter Easter,memorial services would be held in the church in memory of the departed jurist. The remians were then removed to the hearse,and the cortege started fro Riverview cemetery,where the internment took place.The services at the grave were private.
