Sloan, deceased Filed 5 Sept 1896, at 9 a.m, by J. W. Morrow, clerk by Geo. Wells, deputy In the name of God, Amen, I, Elisha G. Sloan, being of lawful age and being of sound mind and memory do make publish and declare this my last will and testament in manner following that is to say. 1st. I give and bequeath all my estate both real and personal of which I may die seized and possessed after paying my funeral expenses and just debts and the sum of one dollar to each of my hereinafter described children to my wife, N. E. Sloan to have and to hold during her life, providing however that should my said wife remarry, then it is my will that all my property both real and personal be divided among my said wife and my four hereinafter described children to share and share alike. 2d. Immediately after my said wife's death it is my will that all my property both real and personal descend to my children in accordance with the laws of descent now in force in the State of Oregon. 3d. I give and bequeath unto my son Frank Sloan the sum of one dollar. 4th. I give and bequeath unto my daughter Mary McCarty the sum of one dollar. 5th. I give and bequeath unto my daughter Nellie Shaw the sum of one dollar. 6th. I give and bequeath unto my son Claude Sloan the sum of one dollar. 7th. I nominate and appoint as the executor of this my last will and testment my son Frank Sloan. In witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name this 9th day of February 1896. Elisha G. Sloan. On this 9th day of February 1896 the foregoing will was read to the said Elisha G. Sloan and signed by him with in the presence of us and declared by said Elisha G. Sloan to be his last will and testament in our presence and we subscribed our names as witnesses thereto at his request in the presence of Elisha G. Sloan and in the presence of each other. E. R.
