She was born in Dallas,Polk County,March 5,1877,and was hte eldest daughter of mr. and Mrs. J.D.Lee,who now reside in Portland.She was educated at the Wasco Independent Academy,of the Dalles,entering that institution from the public schools at Portland. Mrs.Hinman was an accomplished musicioan and it was while teaching music at Ellensburg,Wash.,that she met Professor Hinman,who wa sat that time Superintendent of Schools for Kittitas County. They were married at Salem,then the rsidence of the bride's parents,October 11,1899. Besides th eparents,Mr and Mrs.J.D.Lee,of Portland,a sister,Miss Althea Lee,of this city,and two brothers,Lyman M. and Roscoe,of Baker City.Mrs. Hinman is surivved by her husband and two small children,a son and a daughter. The funeral was conducted by Rev. Mr. Hayden,pastor of the First Presbyterian church of North Yakima,and was largely attended. Additional Comments: Picture accoompanies this article.
