Marriage record, Joseph Dowden to Caroline Hooton, State of Oregon, County of 
Linn. This is to certify that the undersigned a Justice of the Peace by 
authority of a Licence bearing date the 17th day of March AD 1869 and issued 
by the County Clerk of the County of Linn and on the 18th day of March AD 1869 
at the house of N Fredinburgh in the County and State aforesaid Join in lawful 
wedlock Joseph Dowden of the County of Linn and State of Oregon and Caroline 
Hooton of the County of Linn and State of Oregon with their mutual assent. In 
the presence of N Fredinberg, F M Fredinberg Witnesses [signed] E Thompson JP 
Filed March 30th 1869
