STEWART, Jacksonville Reveille, Saturday, 2 May 1868, p. 2: In
Ellensburg, Curry county, Ogn., April 16th, 1868, of consumption,
Hattie M. Stewart, wife of Frank A. Stewart, and daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. M. Riley, aged 17 years, 7 months and 1 day.

How beautiful and calm she died: The sun
On summer's brightest eye, ne'er passed beyond
Blue Hesper's vail, with such quiet, silvery
Wings - so soft, so still, so spiritually fair - 
As passed her spirit from its frail, fair form,
Withdrawing, from our lives, its holy light.
