infant son of James and Mary Jordan, aged two years, four months and
fifteen days.

The young, loved, the beautiful,
Why must they pass away?
Why must the flowers we love so well,
The earliest decay.

Oh, gentle Father! Master good!
Help us to love and lose,

To acquiesce, not choose.
