BIENVENUE, John, Medford (Oregon) Mail, Friday, 23 Jan 1903: JohnBienvenue, one of the pioneer citizens of Jacksonville, died at his home at thatplace on Sunday morning from the indirect result of injuries receivedsomething over a year ago while working in a sawmill at Niagara, Linn County.At that time he sustained internal injuries from which he never fully recoveredand which with other complications finally caused death. Mr. Bienvenue was anative of Canada and was seventy-two years of age at the time of his death. Heleaves a widow and a family of seven children, nearly all of whom are grown.
