...This was the pleasant lot that befell your humble writer a few days since, 
accompanied by his wife and son, Mrs. Curry and Miss Curry, on a visit to Mrs. 
and Mrs. J. C. Hannah's cool, shady home on Rogue river, where the manufactury 
of pottery is located, and the peaches, water melons and sugarcane grow so 
large and tall. We were made welcome by the warm hand of friendship and were, 
by accident, in time to congratulate them as Grandpa and Grandma Hannah, for 
on the 26th of July, 1902 there came to their house a sweet little baby girl 
to the wife of Mr. and Mrs. Jasper Hannah, Jr.
