Medford (Oregon) Mail, Thursday, 21 Jan 1892, p. 4: Twins were born to Mr.
and Mrs. J. C. Gage in this city Monday. All are reported doing well. This
pair of newcomers have the honor of being the first twins ever born in
Medford. Fred Crystal, now eight years old, was the first child ever born
in this city.
