Joseph S. Zash, a resident of Southern Oregon for the past 50 yrs, passed away 
at the family home on Route 1 Wednesday. He was born in Kentucky, May 24, 
1871. An expert orchard worker, he had been with the Oregon Orchards for the 
past 13 years.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Virdie Zash, three children, Mrs. L. C. 
Morgan, and Joseph Zash, of Medford, and Mrs. L. A. Kinke, Malin, Ore., also 
seven grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Belle McDonald, Princeton, Calif., and a 
brother, Peter Zash, Santa Barbara, Calif.
Funeral services will be conducted from Perl Funeral Home Monday at 2 p. m., 
the Rev. Harry Hansen, pastor of the First Presbyterian church officiating. 
Interment will be in Siskiyou Memorial Park.
