Donald W. Younger, who was killed while in the services of his country, will be held in Conger-Morris chapel Tuesday, at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Holly Jarvis officiating. Interment will be in the family plot in I.O.O.F. cemetery. Friends are requested to omit flowers. Mr. Younger was born in Medford on July 13, 1921, graduating from high school here in 1939. He attended the University of Oregon for three years. On July 3, 1942, he was inducted into the army, receiving his training at Camp Roberts, Fort Benning, Ga.; Camp Swift, Texas, and Camp George G. Mead, Md. He went to England in May, 1944, and then to France where he was attached to Headquarters, 3rd Battalion, 315th Infantry, 79th Division (the Cross of Lorraine Division). He was killed in action on Sept. 20, 1944, at Forest of Parroy in northeast France. Surviving is his mother, Mrs. Lillian Younger, Medford; three sisters, Clara Younger, Portland; Theresa Younger, Philadelphia; Mrs. Ward Jamison, Chico; three brothers, R. L. and M. V., Medford; and F. W., Vallejo.
