Medford (Oregon) Mail Tribune, Thursday, 10 Jan 1918, p. 2, c. 3
Annie Marie, wife of Gustav Weston, the army recruiting officer, died last 
night following an operation performed yesterday forenoon. Her maiden name was 
Harnish and she was 30 years and one month old, having been born in Hanover, 
Germany. Mrs. Weston came to this country a little over seven years ago and a 
short time later married Mr. Weston at Seattle. She came to Medford three 
years ago with her husband when the latter was retired from army service, and 
had since been a resident of the city. The Weston home is at 521 Edwards 
street. She is survived by her husband and a number of relatives in Germany. 
Funeral services will be held at the Weeks & McGowan company chapel Friday 
afternoon at 2:30 o’clock. The minister of the German Lutheran church will 
officiate and the burial will be in the I. O. O. F. cemetery.
