Medford (Oregon) Mail Tribune, Sunday, 23 Apr 1944, p. 10 FLORA E. WELCH TO LAST REWARD Flora E. Welch, 74, a resident of Medford for the past 51 years, and well known and beloved by a host of friends, passed away at a local hospital early Friday after a lingering illness. Mrs. Welch was born at Manteca, Kan., Oct. 14, 1869. Her husband, Mark P. Welch, passed away in 1932. She is survived by three sons, Mathias S. Welch of Medford; Harry C. Welch of Belmont, Calif., and Orme D. Welch of Vallejo, Calif. Also one brother, Babe Pate, Manteca, Kan.; nine grandchildren, and three greatgrandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted from the Perl Funeral Home on Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock, the Rev. Ward Rice, pastor of the First Christian church, officiating. Interment will take place in the family plot in the Central Point cemetery.
