B. Warner, at her home at 519 S. Oakdale Sunday, February 18, 1917. Harriet Melinda Nye was born at Pomeroy, Ohio on May 31st, 1841. She was educated in private schools and the Pomeroy academy, specializing in music, literature and art. She removed to Champaign county, Illinois, when eighteen years of age, where she taught in the public schools. She was married in 1862 to Lyman B. Warner, and went to Cairo, Ill., later going to Wisconsin, then to Nebraska, and coming to Medford, Oregon, in July 1894, and has resided here continuously ever since. She joined the Congregational church when quite young and was a member of that denomination until coming to Medford, when she united with the Presbyterian church. she was a charter member of Reames Chapter, No. 66, Order of Eastern Star, of Medford, in which she held the office of chaplain for many years, and during the past year her name was one of the first to be placed on the honorary list of life membership. She is survived by her husband and six children: Mrs. John Gore, Edwin N. Warner, Mrs. E. E. Gore, Lewis B. Warner, W. J. Warner and Miss Beulah Warner, all of Medford; thirteen grand children, a brother, Edward I. Nye of Milwaukee, Wis., and a sister, Mrs. Nellie Muss of Champaign, Ill. The funeral services will be held at the residence Tuesday, February 20, at 2:30 p.m.
