Tucker, 75, native of Jackson county, and son of a pioneer family, who passed away in Ashland Sunday night of a heart attack, will be held under auspices of the Elks temple at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Litwiller's Funeral home. Interment will be in Hagardine cemetery. Mr. Tucker was born at Barron, Ore. (later the site of the old Klamath Falls junction) on Oct. 16, 1868. He was the son of Lewis and Mary Michelson Tucker, both of pioneer families of the upper valley. His father was one of the southern Oregon stage drivers, working from Jacksonville. Spending his entire life in this county, Mr. Tucker was a rancher and stockman until his retirement to his home south of Ashland. He was an active member of the Southern Oregon Pioneer Society and a member of Elks Lodge. Survivors include his wife, formerly Ida Wells; daughter, Claire Tucker Scott; brother W. G. Tucker, and three sisters, Mrs. Daisy Homes, Mrs. Ivy Grubb and Mrs. James Conley.
