He had been in failing health for the last several years. Mr. Trusty was born in Missouri, April 4, 1853. His father passed away in the spring of 1861 at the outbreak of the Civil War. On December 20, 1874, he was united in marriage to Lovy Jane Nelson. To this union nine children were born. They moved to Medford in 1901 and went to their present home on Elk creek the following spring. Mr. Trusty has been active in farming and cattle raising since the age of 12 and was an active rider until the age of 72. Mr. and Mrs. Trusty celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary last year. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Mrs. Lovy Jane Trusty and eight children: Mrs. Alice Beevers, Trail; Mrs. Parthena Bradshaw, Arkansas [illegible] Medford; James Trusty, Oklahoma; Henry and Marion Trusty, at home; Rufus Trusty, Ashland, and Mrs. Mae Ayres, Medford. He is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Martha Hess, of Oklahoma. Funeral services will be held in the Conger Chapel at 2 p.m. Friday with Rev. Wolford A. Dawes officiating. Interment will be in the Trail cemetery.
