W. Thomas, wife of Col. I. W. Thomas, a well-to-do farmer, died at the farm residence, two and one-half miles west of Medford Thursday morning, May 1st, 1902. At the time of her death Mrs. Thomas was 58 years, 7 months and twenty-five days old. Mrs. Thomas was a devoted mother and wife and her many kind and loving traits of character have won or herself a long list of friends, who with the bereaved husband and son, will feel her loss very keenly. Funeral services were held Friday, May 2. Interment in the Jacksonville cemetery. Rev. M. L. Darby, of the M. E. Church, South, officiating.
