Brown, aged seventeen years, eleven months and two days, of a complication of diseases–grip measles and pneumonia. The remains were interred in the Jacksonville Cemetery on Wednesday. The weather was so inclement and the roads so bad that but few of the many friends and family were able to attend the funeral. The family were all sick with the measles and were obliged to remain at home, except his stepfather, Mr. Brown. Six of his companions went as pall bearers, and quite a number of friends joined the procession at Central Point and Jacksonville, where religious services were held at the grave by Rev. Haberly, of Medford. Earl was a promising young man, full of life and energy and his loss will be felt by the whole community.
