W. Stevens, of this city, which occurred Saturday morning last, of bronchial pneumonia. The little one was sick only a couple of days. In fact, only the previous day she was playing about the house, being afflicted only as thought with a severe cold and was being treated for that with home remedies. Friday evening a physician was called and later in the night two physicians were in attendance, but neither could save the little life, and about seven o’clock Saturday morning its soul passed to the other shore, and in the home where only a few days before there was joy and child’s merry prattle, there was death and sorrow– such sorrow as only parents can feel. Funeral services were held at the family residence Sunday afternoon. Rev. Crandall officiating clergyman. Interment was made in Odd Fellows cemetery. The funeral was very largely attended by sympathizing friends and the little casket was covered deep with choice flowers. Sympathy is given these bereaved parents from every home in Medford and everything possible was done to lessen their burden of grief.
