Infirmities of old age and other complications hastened her sudden and unexpected death. She was buried in Antioch cemetery Sunday. The autumn flowers entwined into beautiful wreaths were carefully arranged. Rev. Billette, of Gold Hill, assisted by Rev. Rosier, of Ashland conducted the funeral services at the grave. Mrs. Stanley was 85 years old, and leaves seven living children, two of whom were present at her funeral--Dr. A. C. Stanley, of Gold Hill, and Miss Jane, who has been a lifelong, inseparable companion of her mother. Mrs. Stanley was a true and devoted mother, and a Christian woman in the fullest sense. Her many estimable qualities of patience, love and purity of heart and character are the precious gifts she has left as a future guide to others, and has stamped an indelible impression long to be remembered and cherished by her children and large concourse of relatives and friends. Additional Comments: First name obtained from 1900 census. Moonville is now known as Sams Valley, Jackson County, Oregon.
