C. Spitzer, resident of Talent for the last 22 years, died October 28, 1928, at Tacoma, Wash., at the Veterans' hospital, where he had gone three weeks previous to undergo medical treatment. He was employed at the Crawford garage at Talent for some time previous to his death, and during his long residence in that city had many friends who mourn his passing. He is survived by one son, Joseph Spitzer; his father, J. S. Suitzen, and the following named brothers and sisters: Jonas Spitzer, Mrs. H. W. Mason, Mrs. P. W. Quackenbush of Talent and J. J. Spitzer and Evelyn Stogg of Medford. Funeral services were held this afternoon at 2 p.m. at the Dodge chapel. Interment in the Talent cemetery. Services in charge of the American Legion. The deceased was born near Richmond, Mo., July 3, 1885, and lived there until he was 18 years of age, when he moved to Kansas. He moved to Talent 22 years ago, following his marriage to Clara E. Clevenger, who preceded her husband in death many years ago.
