SMITH, Lester Winningham, Medford (Oregon) Mail Tribune,
Saturday, 5 Apr 1924, p. 2 -- Lester W. Smith of this city, who met
with an accident by a falling tree in the Brownlee Olds logging camp
last Friday, March 28, passed away in Medford at 1 p.m. yesterday.

Deceased was born in Jackson county August 15, 1903, and had
lived practically all his life in and near Medford. He leaves his
parents, A. L. Smith of Medford and Mrs. H. C. Whitney of Grant's
Pass, also three brothers and two sisters, Mark, Heldon, Lloyd,
Beulah and Ruth Smith, all Grant's Pass.

Funeral services in charge of the Conger Funeral parlors will be
held in the Christian church at Grant's Pass at 2:30 p.m. Sunday.
Rev. Daw of that city will officiate. Interment in Grant's Pass
cemetery.
