Slusser, a resident of Medford for many years, passed away at his home, 632 Pennsylvania street this morning. Funeral arrangements are in care of the Conger-Morris Funeral Parlors. Medford (Oregon) Mail Tribune, Sunday, 14 Jul 1948, p. 12 Funeral services will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m., at Conger-Morris mortuary for Nathan W. Slusser, who passed away Thursday at his home. The Rev. D. E. Millard will preside and members of the barbers' union will be pallbearers. Interment will be in Siskiyou Park. Mr. Slusser, oldest son of Johnathon and Margaret Slusser, was born near Kankakee, Ill. He spent part of his young life with his grandparents, Dr. and Mrs. Rainford, at Kankakee and later attended Illinois Wesleyan at Bloomington. He married Alta Lee Smith at Roselawn, Ind., and they came to Medford in 1911. He operated a barber shop at 113 North Main street here for many years. Besides his wife he is survived by one daughter, Cleobelle Clark, Medford; five brothers and two sisters, Dell, Villa Grove, Ill.; John, Burma, India; George, Pasadena, Calif.; Theodore, Bakersfield, Calif.; Ray and Jessie, Newport, Calif.; Mary, Clearwater, Calif.
