Miss Hattie Sisemore died at Pasadena, Calif., on Thursday of last week, December 28th, of consumption. The remains were brought to Jackson County Sunday evening and interment was made in the Sams Valley cemetery on Monday, funeral services being held at the family hold in that vicinity. Miss Sisemore had been ill for several months and last April she left Jackson county for Tu[cs]on, Arizona, where it was expected she would get relief, but none came and she went to California, and instead of improving her health she grew worse until death claimed her. A few weeks before her death her mother, Mrs. John Sisemore, and brother, John Pelton, and her young friend, Miss Frankie Barnes, were summoned to her bedside and remained with her while life lasted, and all accompanied her remains to the home place in Sams Valley. Deceased was twenty-two years of age and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Sisemore. She was a very fine young lady and beloved by all who knew her, and sorrow for her untimely demise has entered many homes in Jackson County.
