Medford (Oregon) Mail Tribune, Tuesday, 7 Sep 1948, p. 11, c. 7 
Services for Mrs. Sarah E. Shoup, 79, who passed away at the family residence, 
412-1/2 North Grape street, Saturday, will be held in the Conger-Morris chapel 
Wednesday at 2:30 p. m. with the Rev. C. W. Frost officiating. Interment will 
be in Phoenix cemetery. The deceased was born July 17, 1869, in Philadelphia, 
Ind., and had resided 19 years in this community. She was united in marriage 
May 18, 1887, to John O. Shoup, who preceded her in death in 1933. She was a 
member of the Apostolic Faith church, Medford. Surviving are a son, Earl, New 
York; a daughter, Mrs. Mae Coulter, Sams Valley; four grandchildren, Mrs. 
Lloyd Roberts, Medford; Mrs. Neill Dutton, Applegate; Mrs. Jack Swindler, Sams 
Valley; Mrs. Earl Coulter, Rogue River; and seven great-grandchildren.
