Shearin, 67, a resident of the valley for 24 years, passed away August 30 in Portland. For 18 years, Mr. Shearin operated the Plaza Garden service station and general store in the Eagle Point district. He had resided at Phoenix since 1940. Surviving are his wife, Celia, and one son, Theodore, of Phoenix; two sisters, Mrs. Mary B. Brous of Phoenix, and Mildred S. Carter of Indianapolis; two brothers, W. H. Shearin, Eagle Point, and Grover C. Shearin, Indianapolis. Funeral services will be conducted from the Perl Funeral Home Friday at 2 p.m., with the Rev. George Coulter officiating. Interment will be in Siskiyou Memorial Park.
