Aged 72 years 9 months 9 days. He was born in Washington county, Indiana, leaving there as a young man, moving to Fort Worth, Texas where he resided for forty years, where he was engaged in the creamery business. The family came to Medford in 1923. His wife, Nannie Patterson Shaw, passed away here in 1934. He leaves six sons and two daughters: Frank, Bernard, James B., Charles and Thomas of Medford, and Patrick in the United States navy, Mrs. Margaret King of Seneca, Oregon, and Mrs. Dorothy Stacy o Portland, Ore., also seven grandchildren. He was a man of fine Christian character and will be mourned by a host of friends besides his family. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic church, where funeral services will be held on the arrival of Patrick, Tuesday evening, Rev. Father Black officiating. Interment in Siskiyou Memorial Park.
