Medford (Oregon) Mail, Friday, 1 Mar 1901, City Happenings, p. 7, c. 4
The infant child of Mr. and Mrs. J. S. Scronce, who recently arrived here from 
Nebraska, died Thursday morning from la grippe. They are residing in the 
Baroum block on Seventh Street. The funeral will be held today (Friday) at the 
Baptist Church, Rev. Crandall officiating. Interment in Odd Fellows cemetery.
