Albert Edward Scranton, a resident of Takilma, passed away at Cave Junction 
Friday. Mr. Scranton was born at Waldo, on February 27, 1890, and had lived 
all his life in Oregon. He had been in the logging business all his life. He 
is survived by his wife, Mrs. Agnes Scranton of Takilma, four daughters, Mrs. 
Julia Doney of Cave Junction, Mrs. Marjorie McBriety, Miss Viola Scranton and 
Miss Bonnie Scranton, all of Takilma; two sons, Varner E. Scranton of San 
Francisco and Owen E. Scranton of Medford; one sister, Mrs. Julia E. Skeeters 
of Medford, and four grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the Perl 
Funeral home on Tuesday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Edwin C. Cox officiating. 
Interment will take place in the Medford I.O.O.F. cemetery.
