Sandlin passed away at the home of her son, N. B. Sandlin, in Talent, at 9 o'clock Tuesday evening. Deceased was aged 63 years, 8 months, 17 days. She was born in Alabama, where she grew to womanhood and was married to John L. Sandlin, who preceded her to the beyond. Upon leaving her native state, she resided in various localities and finally came to Oregon and settled at Enterprise, where she had spent the past six years, having been at Talent only about two weeks. She leave seven sons: C. C., G. L., J. C. and W. T. Sandlin, all of Oklahoma; H. C. and A. A. Sandlin of Enterprise, Oregon, and N. B. of Talent. Remains are at the Conger Funeral Parlors and arrangements await word from relatives who have been notified of her passing. Medford (Oregon) Mail Tribune, Saturday, 18 May 1925, Talent Talk: Mrs. Rachel Sandlin passed away Tuesday evening at the home of her son Nicholas Sandlin on the highway. She came from Enterprise about two weeks ago to be with her son here, and had suffered a severe illness of flu, which left her with a serious heart trouble. She was a native of Alabama. She leaves seven sons to mourn her demise, her husband having passed away several years ago. The remains are at the Conger Funeral Parlors, where services will be held prior to shipping the remains to Oklahoma, where four of her sons reside.
