Klamath, Feb. 25, 1899, Mr. W. H. Ruch, aged fifty-four years, three months and twenty-nine days. The deceased was a man who commanded the love and respect of all who knew him. In his death the community has lost a good citizen and his family a kind and loving father. He leaves a wife and four children to mourn his loss. Mr. Ruch was apparently a well man, having the day before he died worked all day cutting rails and feeding his cattle. Saturday morning at about two o’clock his wife was awakened by his gasping as if choked. She tried to awaken him, but not succeeding as she ought, she summoned the remainder of the family, but all to no avail. He had passed into that sleep which knows no making. Mr. Ruch was well known in Jackson County, having a number of relatives living at Ruch, in the Applegate country.
