Services for James Edward Rodgers, 65, who died at his home in Butte Falls 
Friday, will be held at Conger-Morris at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Howard 
Simmons, by Community church, will officiate. Committal will be in the IOOF 
cemetery. Mr. Rodgers was born Aug. 14, 1892, at Beagle, and had lived in 
Butte Falls for the past 20 years. He was married July 2, 1917, in 
Jacksonville to Matty Gordon, who survives him. Other survivors include four 
sons, Kenneth J. Rodgers, Eugene; Cecil E. Rodgers, Brookings; John W. 
Rodgers, Toketee Falls; and Raymond R. Rodgers, Medford; a brother, Jess G. 
Rodgers, Butte Falls; three sisters, Mrs. Grace Brown, Mrs. Byron Keith, and 
Mrs. Richard M. Barker, all of Medford, and nine grandchildren. Pallbearers 
will include Charles Capello, Clay Conley, Al Hartlerode, Alva Webster, Ed 
Alburn, and Claude Curtis.
