Roberts, well known resident of Medford, passed away at his late residence, 216 South Orange street at 3:30 p.m. yesterday. Mr. Roberts was born at St. Charles, Iowa, Oct. 22, 1878, aged 46 years, six months. In the year 1900 he was married at Trenton, Missouri, and immediately after took up his residence at Centerville, Iowa, where he followed railroading. After three years residence at Centerville, Mr. and Mrs. Roberts moved back to Trenton, Mo., where they resided for a short period and from there went to Panama where Mr. Roberts was employed throughout the construction of the Panama canal, after which they came to Medford and for the past 10 years have been continuous residents of this city. Deceased will be remembered by many as superintendent of the mechanical department of the C. E. Gates Auto Co. Roberts, who passed away at his home, 216 South Orange street, this city on the afternoon of April 22, will be held at the Conger Funeral chapel at 2:30 Sunday. Rev. E. P. Lawrence will have charge of the services and the body will be held until the completion of the new Medford Mausoleum where it will be laid to final rest.
