F. RECTOR AT PRINTERS' HOME W. F. Rector, 70, Linotype operator for the Mail Tribune from 1926 to 1939, died Monday in the Union Printers' Home at Colorado Springs, Colo., where he had been for the past month because of declining health. Funeral services will be held there Wednesday and he will be buried in the Printer's cemetery. Continuously following the printing trade for more than a half century, except for the period he was a soldier in the Spanish-American war, Mr. Rector led a colorful career. He migrated from state to state, seeing America, and worked for short times in all the big and many of the small shops in all the states of the south and most all the states west of the Mississippi. He came to Medford 17 years ago from Las Vegas, Nev., and accepted a position with the Mail Tribune, remaining with the paper for 13 years. He later moved to Klamath Falls, where he stayed for a year, then returned to Medford. For the year prior to leaving for Colorado he was employed at the Medford News as makeup man and Linotype operator. Survivors include his sister, Mrs. J. C. Hays of Agate, Colo., and three brothers. His wife, whom he married in Medford about 15 years ago, died while they were living in Klamath Falls.
