M. Rease, 74, succumbed to heart trouble and complications at his home, 162 Alida street, Ashland, at an early hour this morning. Funeral arrangements will be announced later. Medford (Oregon) Mail Tribune, Sunday, 23 Jun 1929, p. 2, c. 5 REASE Edson Monroe Rease, well known Ashland man and a resident of this city for the past 30 years, died this morning at 5:30 at his home on Alida street, aged 75 years, 1 month and 13 days. Mr. Rease was born in New York May 8, 1854. He suffered from leakage of the heart for the past year and a half. Mr. Rease was a member of the Four Square Gospel church. Surviving Mr. Rease are his widow, Mrs. Mary Luella Rease; a brother, Milton H. Rease of Arcada, Oregon, a brother, Wilber Rease of North Carolina; three daughters, Mrs. T. A. Cole of Medford, Mrs. H. G. Parker of Yreka, and Miss Vivian Rease of Ashland, and four sons, Earl A. Rease of Long Beach, Cal., E. O. Rease of Sacramento, M. M. Rease of Hamilton, Ohio and T. T. Rease of Ashland. The funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. from the Herman Stock funeral home in Ashland.
