RAGSDALE, Jesse L., Medford (Oregon) Mail Tribune, Monday, 29
Mar 1943, p. 6 -- Mr. Jesse L. Ragsdale, a pioneer of southern
Oregon for the last 65 years, passed away early Sunday morning at
his home in Trail after a brief illness. Mr. Ragsdale was 72 years of
age. He was born in Linn county, Oregon, and lived in the state his
entire life.

Mr. Ragsdale married Hattie Dawson at Trail on May 30, 1900. To
this union were born nine children. Eight are living. Mrs. Ragsdale
passed away in 1931.

Surviving relatives of Mr. Ragsdale are seven sons, Claude A. of
Shady Cove, John E. of Eagle Point, Wilmer of Trail, Wesley B. of
Medford, Frank l. of Medford, Glen E. of West Los Angeles, Charles
B. of Trail, and a daughter, Mrs. Mable Wehde of Tiller. Also seven
grandchildren and many nieces and nephews, and one sister,
Sarah Briscoe of Central Point.

Funeral services will be held at the church in Trail, Oregon,
Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. The Rev. W. A. Dawes of the First Baptist
church will officiate and interment will be in the Trail cemetery. Perl
Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
