POWELL William B. Powell, 44, passed away at Prescott, Ariz., Jan. 28. He was born in Macon county, Missouri, Feb. 23, 1899 and came to Medford in 1924, residing here until going to Arizona some three years ago. Mr. Powell was employed by the Medford Corporation and leaves hosts of friends who will regret to hear of his passing. Besides his wife, Leona Powell, who was with him in Arizona, he laves three sons, Melvin, Wayne and Billy Powell. Also his father, T. B. Powell, of Medford, and four brothers, Forest, of Quincy, Ill.; Frank of Prospect, Ore.; James E. and Edward Powell, both of Medford, and four sisters, Mrs. Frank Taylor and Mrs. O. M> Bodkins in Missouri; Mrs. Ralph Peyton and Mrs James Hodgeson of Butte Falls, Ore. The remains are being brought to Medford and services will be held in the Conger-Morris chapel at 2 p.m. Saturday with the Rev. Ward Rice of the Christian church officiating. Interment will be in the Medford I.O.O.F. cemetery.
