Medford (Oregon) Mail Tribune, Tuesday, 7 Sep 1948, p. 11, c. 7 
Services for George J. Phillips, 81, Eagle Point, who passed away in a local 
hospital Saturday, will be held in the Conger-Morris chapel Thursday at 2:30 
p.m., with the Rev. D. E. Millard officiating. Interment will follow in 
Central Point cemetery. Mr. Phillips was born in Indiana, August 25, 1867, and 
had resided in the Eagle Point community for 45 years. He was united in 
marriage at Trail, Ore., in 1900 to Sarah Watkins, who survives. He was a 
member of the I.O.O.F. lodge, Medford. Surviving, besides his widow, are a 
son, John B., Medford, and a brother, Charles, Bellingham, Wash.
