Phillips, an aged gentleman of Long Branch, was buried in Antioch cemetery, 
Wednesday of last week. The gentleman was a single man and highly respected.

There were parties here the first of last week for a casket for the burial of 
an old gentleman, by the name of Phipps, aged about eighty-three years. The 
remains were interred in the Antioch Cemetery.

Additional Comments:
These two neighborhood brevities are the only references regarding the death 
of Reuben Phillips. He is not listed in the Antioch Cemetery index. The 
approximate date of his death was obtained from his wife's equally brief 
obituary, with her name also spelled as Phipps.
