Private funeral services for Mrs. Sarah A. Phillips of Medford, who died 
Saturday, will be held in Conger-Morris chapel Wednesday afternoon. Rev. D. E. 
Millard will officiate. Committal will be in Central Point cemetery. Mrs. 
Phillips was born Oct. 31, 1873 in Putnam county, Missouri. On Sept. 3, 1900 
in Trail, she was married to George J. Phillips, who preceded her in death. In 
1876, Mrs. Phillips came from Missouri with her parents and settled in the 
Rogue river valley living in Gold Hill from 1900 until 1902. She later moved 
to Eagle Point and then to Medford five years ago. Survivors include a son, 
John R. Phillips, Medford, two sisters, Miss Annie Watkins, and Mrs. Addie 
Guches, both of Medford.
